Application date: October 15, 2026

Published by Luiz Hogrefe: August 22, 2026

What changed

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1565 of 13 July 2026 amends Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084, which governs the functioning of the EUDR Information System. It covers the submission of due diligence statements, simplified declarations for micro and small primary operators, contingency arrangements and other measures simplifying use of the system. It was published in the Official Journal on 14 July 2026 and has been in force since 17 July 2026, the third day after publication. One part carries its own date: Article 1, point (2)(c) applies only from 15 October 2026.

Who is affected

Operators and traders submitting due diligence statements in the Information System, and in particular micro and small primary operators, for whom the text creates the simplified declaration. Also technical teams integrating their own systems with the system's automated interfaces.

What to do

Re-read the technical specifications for the automated interfaces before closing any integration, because the text is already in force. Anyone who qualifies as a micro or small primary operator should check in the regulation itself whether the simplified declaration covers their case. And note 15 October 2026 for the part with deferred application.
