EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation): The EU regulation that bans placing commodities linked to deforestation on the EU market. It applies to large and medium operators from 30 December 2026, and to micro and small firms from 30 June 2027.
DDS (Due Diligence Statement): The statement an importer submits into the EU's system before a shipment enters the market, declaring that the due-diligence checks the EUDR requires were carried out.
DPP (Digital Product Passport): A portable, verifiable dossier attached to a product: origin, evidence, and certifications a buyer or authority can inspect on their own, not just a claim printed on a label.
Operator: The company the EUDR places the legal obligation on: whoever first places a covered commodity on the EU market, or exports it from the EU.
Registered human attester: The qualified person who reviews evidence the system cannot resolve on its own, confirms or corrects it, and puts a name behind that decision before a passport can be released for it.

Technology

NF-e (Brazilian electronic invoice): The electronic invoice Brazilian exporters issue for every shipment, an XML document authenticated by the tax authority. It anchors the trade in a specific, dated transaction.
CAR (Rural Environmental Registry): Brazil's public registry of rural properties, holding the georeferenced polygon of each one. It provides georeferenced property evidence; it is the supporting document chain that links that property to a shipment's claimed origin.
MAPA (Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture phytosanitary certificate): The official certificate Brazil's agriculture ministry issues, confirming a shipment meets plant-health requirements for export.
UNTP (UN Transparency Protocol): A United Nations specification for exchanging supply-chain data as linked, verifiable credentials, so a passport aligned with it can be checked by systems outside AnyLAI, not only read as a web page. UN/CEFACT publishes it at version 0.7.0, describes it as work in progress and describes that version as suitable for pre-production pilot implementations. AnyDPP aligns with the 0.7.0 profile and makes no conformance claim to it.
W3C Verifiable Credentials (W3C Verifiable Credentials): A World Wide Web Consortium data format for a credential that carries its own cryptographic signature, so anyone holding it can confirm who issued it and that it has not been altered, without any access to AnyLAI's database. The verifier resolves the issuer's public identifier document to obtain the key it checks against.
GS1 QR / Digital Link (GS1 Digital Link): A standardized QR code that resolves to a specific product's passport online, the same identifier system retailers already use for barcodes, extended to point at a web address.
Hash-chain & trace_id (hash-chained audit trail): Every step in the pipeline is logged and linked to the one before it by a cryptographic hash, under one trace_id shared from the first document to the published passport. Editing a past step is detectable by recomputing the chain. The chain is kept per trace and is not yet anchored outside the system, so the removal of its latest entries would not be detectable today.
